Svea - 1/10/2019

Svea had bites of french toast and a taste of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pulled pork, whole wheat toast, and peas.  She spit out the strawberries.  She also had two bottle of milk this morning.

I was looking at some of Avi's pictures from when she was about Svea's age and remembering how much Avi loved to closely examine everything and study it for the longest time.  That was so cool and now I'm seeing Svea do some of that same type of thing.  This toy set has the "drills" and "staplers" and Svea played with the stapler this morning and was pushing it in and out and looking it over very closely!  She wasn't making a sound and I peeked around the corner to see what she was up to!  And she was busy studying the stapler.  

Here are some pictures from her morning: She and Linnea were playing in the box where we store the big blocks.  The we all built a structure using the big blocks and in the 2nd picture Atley was peeking over the top of Svea.  Third picture: Svea is climbing up the steps and Avi is keeping an eye on her.  It's so cute how loving and protective Avi is of her little sister.  And she has an opinion about everything Svea does.  :)  Svea briefly fussed in her highchair at lunch time and Avi immediately said, "She's tired."  Ha!  (Actually she was tired.)

Last picture: I was watching Svea look at books and then she just held them up against her face.  I don't know what she was doing.  But I took a picture because I was amused by it all.  Time to schedule an eye appointment!!  Just kidding!!

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
