Svea - 1/31/2019

Svea ate several bites of waffle and a taste of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of Shepard's Pie with meat, carrots, potatoes, and green beans.  No whole wheat tortillas, and no cherries.

First picture - Linnea was looking at a book about babies and there is a picture of a baby on the front of it.  She was excited and trying to show it to Svea and kept saying, "Baby, Baby, Baby..."  Svea wasn't too interested, but Linnea didn't care and really didn't notice the lack of interest.  :)

I've mentioned before - several months ago - about the State requiring all licensed programs, regardless of size, have several emergency plans in place.  It was a lot of work to get the required supplies and do the paperwork, but they also require a number of drills per year.  I'm sure glad Lauralea works from home one day a week!  So we did a "shelter in place" drill today.  We have the perfect room downstairs where we keep the required supplies.

The littlest ones obviously haven't a clue what we're doing, but they enjoy the new environment once we get there.  :)  Next picture - as long as there is a chew toy for Svea she's a happy camper.  Last picture has all the kids shortly after we arrived.  Avi is actually looking through the baby toys, but it's all new so it keeps her engaged for a few minutes.  :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
