Svea - 2/5/2019

Svea ate whole wheat bagel (toasted and buttered) and ate grapes for breakfast.  (This was the best she's ever eaten here.)  For lunch she ate several tiny bites of shrimp, ate several bites of stir fry vegetables, and had a taste of raspberries.  Well, Nora made it official again today; "Svea's walking Gary!!  Svea's walking!!"  Yes, she sure is!!

She's not only walking, but watching and trying to do lots of things the older kids are doing.  They learn lots from their own explorations every day, but they also learn lots from watching others too.  This first picture is a great example of Svea watching the kids stack blocks and she was certainly willing and ready to give it a try too!  Nice work Svea.

This next picture made me laugh.  Svea was putting every little toy within reach into her school bus.  And she wasn't messing around!!  She was slinging those toys in that bus with authority!!  :)  Notice she has a toy in her right hand hand and she's in the middle of her windup!!  Ha!

Last picture: Svea was sitting in the legos drawer and stirring these legos with Linnea and making a mighty loud racket!!  Linnea left and Svea decided to stand up and work on some balancing skills.  Ha!  She had a great morning, was happy and busy as usual, and learning lots of useful skills!!  :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
