Svea - 2/8/2019

Svea ate some oatmeal for breakfast.  She wasn't interested in trying the baked cinnamon apples.  For lunch I mashed some stew together and fed it to her and she ate several bites of Hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, and potatoes.

I think Svea did quite well this morning considering everything!!  She really wasn't fussy at all and stayed very busy.  I was impressed.  She's had two poopy diapers so far today.  Everyone is dealing with something - including the provider - so she's not alone!!  I'm glad it's Friday; runny noses, coughing, and excessive amounts of poopy diapers!  Nastiness on steroids for two weeks!!  :)  I am impressed and happy that she has only needed minimal amounts of diaper cream.

First picture: Svea was working hard to stack these and she was successful.  There were two stacked together and she stacked the next two on top.  Nice work Svea.  Second picture: Svea had her head laying on the step and Nora came along and joined her.  And of course Svea decided to take advantage of the situation.  You can tell that Nora was loving it all!!  Nora sure loves the babies.  This morning the song "Rock-a-bye-baby" came on and Nora went nuts.  She was literally jumping up and down and yelling; "It's the rock-a-bye-baby song Gary!  It's the rock-a-bye-baby song!!"  :)

Last picture: Svea's just not sure how she's feeling so she's looking at the poster for some help!!  :)  It's sure fun to watch her develop.  Two of the pictures (the first one and this one) today show her development as she's moving through the baby stage and it all happens so quickly!

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
