Svea - 3/29/2019

Svea ate half of her cream of wheat cereal and had a taste of dried plums for breakfast.  (I call it a "taste" when it's been in their mouth!)  Everyone was pretty distracted during breakfast with the new fella here!!  For lunch she ate several bites of shepherds pie with meat, carrots, green beans, and potatoes.  She didn't eat whole wheat tortillas, and ate her cherries.  I cut the cherries in half for her and after she finally tried one, I fed her several more.

So speaking of the new fella here is a picture of Callahan's first day at Little Treasures!  (Posted with permission from Momma Maddy!)  Whenever a new baby starts it always changes the dynamics of the group! So a new adventure begins as we learn about him and he learns about us.  In the meantime today's Blog will probably be shorter than normal and that may be the case for a few days.  I take pictures and notes for the Blogs everyday and we'll just see how it goes.  Here's what I do know: I now have maximum enrollment and I will be very busy!  Which is fine with me!

Svea was funny when I was feeding Callahan: She was playing on my legs and feet.  Then she was standing on my foot which was uncomfortable so I moved my foot.  She yelled at me and was trying to pull my leg back where it had been.  That was funny.

Here are some pictures from her morning: She was pushing the swivel/rocker chair around and around.  And grinning when she saw me watching her.  Second picture: She stands on two blocks a lot!  Yesterday she had two blocks in front of the exit gate, but she'd positioned them too far from the gate.  She stood on them and leaned forward ever so slightly, but still couldn't reach the gate.  Last picture: Read the books!  Love it!

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
