Svea - 4/1/2019

Svea ate bites of whole grain shredded wheat and bites of raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of chicken, bites of whole wheat pita bread, no cucumber, no peppers, bites of avocado, and ate her pears.

This first picture is left over from Friday afternoon.  And it's pretty much the same picture for this morning as well.  Svea is looking longingly at Callahan and here's what I believe she's thinking: "But I wanna stand on his belly!!  Gideon let me do that and he didn't care!!"  Ha!

Next picture: Avilene and Atley were wearing some animal masks and Avi said to Atley, "Scare Svea!!"  Ha! Poor sister!!  Does Svea look scared!?!  Nope, she wasn't scared!  She was kind of puzzled initially and then amused, but she just wandered off to do her own thing.  We've had kids her age be very uncomfortable with the masks.  I remember one little girl who disliked them so much that we put them away for a few months.

Last picture: Svea was playing with the food toys; something new in this toy exchange.  They have Velcro that holds them together.  This age never match the same sides together and who cares!?!  She was having fun pulling them apart and putting them together.  Notice the lion sitting next to her; yep that's sister Avilene.  (You can see Avi's hand down by Svea's foot.)  As you'll see in Avi's Blog she wore that lion suit almost all morning!!

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
