Svea - 4/3/2019

Svea ate whole wheat toast and a large serving of mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she sniffed the pulled pork, bites of whole wheat toast, bites of peas, and ate her strawberries.  So for you observant types that noticed whole wheat toast for breakfast AND whole wheat toast for lunch here's the reason!!  Haha!  Our menu is set up to not have repeating breads or anything else in the same day.  However, we switched Wednesday's Lunch with Thursday's lunch, so there you have it!!  :)  And I won't bore you with the reason for that switch!!

We've been able to start going outside in the afternoons and the kids are LOVING it!!  Svea totally LOVES outside time.  I will occasionally post pictures from the previous afternoon and here are a couple from yesterday.  First picture: Svea was messing with the bike and it's obvious she's been watching the other kids pedal!!  She kept trying to put her foot on the pedal like you see in the picture below!!  Haha!!  Second picture:  It will most likely change as she gets older, but right now Svea doesn't really care what the other kids are doing outside or inside.  She just goes about doing her own thing.  It's so cute!  She was in the little play house and then on the outside of it and I was peeking through making her laugh!  I love her smile!!

Last picture: Svea was at the gate watching Callahan.  One of these days I'll post a picture of Svea sitting close by him and doing whatever!  In the mean time, this is usually as close as she gets to him!!  Ha!  It's hard to get a good picture of her any closer to Callahan while I'm guarding him!!  Hey, notice Svea's right pant leg.  She's been hoisting up one of her pant legs for the last few days.  Have you noticed her doing that at home? Svea sat on my lap for lots of Story Time today.  She's starting to do that more and more.  I know she likes looking at books on her own and it's fun when they start enjoying Story Time as well.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
