Svea - 5/10/2019

Svea ate oatmeal and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bite of salmon, bite of whole wheat dinner roll, no cauliflower, and ate her mangoes.

This note is more about Atley, but it involves Mark and Mary too!!  Yesterday afternoon Avi and Svea's Grandpa and Grandma picked them up and Atley asked Grandpa, "What's your name?"  He said, "I'm Mark."  Atley said,"Hi Mark."  This morning we had a representative from Child Care Resources drop off an appreciation "thing" and Atley handled it the same way; "What's your name?" "Nikki."  "Hi Nikki."  Atley does that better than many adults!!  :)  Totally natural and comfortable with it!!  (I'm not disrespecting uncomfortable introverts!! Ha! Just looking at the contrast!!)

First picture from today; This has been the morning ritual this week.  Svea and Avi go right to the chair and Avi gives her rides; rocking and spinning.   As you can see Atley joined them today as well. She couldn't resist the squealing and giggling coming from the chair!!  :)

More Pictures from Friday morning; Svea and Linnea were having so much fun; if their hard and loud laughing is any indication!!  Linnea was pretending to feed Svea, and Svea would knock it to the side.  And they'd laugh and laugh!!  Repeat and repeat!  Last two pictures: The three "big" girls spent lots of time in the preschool room this morning and these two characters had a blast together and they pretty much interacted all morning!

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
