Svea - 5/1/2019

Svea ate most of whole wheat toast and ate a large serving of mangoes for breakfast.  It was after 11:00 when I realized we'd forgotten to cook the spaghetti noodles for lunch!!  Ooops!  So we had more toast!  However that gave everyone something to talk about at lunch!  Over and over! And over!   "They forgot to cook the noodles!!"  "They forgot to cook the noodles!"  "Gary, you forgot to cook the noodles."  Ha!  For lunch she ate most of ground beef with marinara sauce, bites of whole wheat toast, bite of cauliflower, and a large serving of fruit salad.

This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  Svea loves the bikes and is on them every time we're outside.  She had her feet touching the ground (barely) and was able to move the bike along that way. As you can see in the picture she can just touch the pedals.  In all the years we've done childcare we've only had maybe 2 kids learn to pedal a bike before they turn 2 years old.  :)  Just thought I'd throw that out there for Momma!!

Svea brought the wolf mask over and handed it to me.  So I put it on her and she left it on for a couple of minutes.  I had her sit down (first picture) so I could get it on and then she jumped up and took off across the mattress.  :)

Last picture: A minute before I took this picture Svea had her leg up and was ready to get in the seat with Callahan.  Haha!  Silly girl!  I was keeping a close eye on her and I didn't react or say anything.  I wanted to see what she'd do.  She pulled her leg back and apparently made a good decision.  Ha!

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
