Svea - 5/15/2019

Svea ate bites of whole wheat toast and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she had a bite  or taste of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of her carrots, and two servings of fruit salad.  

These first three pictures are actually leftover from yesterday afternoon.  First one.  Atley had pulled up her pant leg to show Svea her bandaid.  "See my bandaid Svea."  Haha!  Then Linnea immediately joined them to have a look too!  Linnea asked her - "happened?"  Atley said, "I fell down on the sidewalk.  You can touch it if you want too."  LOL.  Linnea didn't respond and Svea seemed satisfied to just take pictures with her cell phone!  :)

Next picture: If you zoom in on Svea's face you'll see a big grin.  She was loving this for a few seconds!!  :)  Following picture:  She thought she was being pretty hilarious standing up in the ice cream cart.  And it was all fun and games until she was ready to get out.  I quickly helped her because she was about to do a header on the concrete!!
 

Last picture: Baby Callahan getting some attention from the Nelson Girls!!  :)  I've been doing the "gentle touches" routine everyday with Svea (mostly in regards to Cal) and she's been responding positively to that.  I watched her just randomly go over to him today and she was very intentional in touching his tummy gently.  I immediately commended her for that.  Nice job of being gentle Svea.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute. Next picture: Svea was at the gate yelling to Avi and Atley (who were in the Preschool Room) and she was saying, "Look at me guys, look at me guys."  Then she started walking across the room...
