Svea - 5/30/2019

Svea ate two servings of French toast and ate dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate some ground beef with marinara sauce, some whole wheat spaghetti noodles, bite of cauliflower, and ate some fruit salad.

Svea was doing some experimenting this morning and ended up "walking" all around the Daycare Room on her knees.  (Not hands and knees, just knees.)  It reminded me of a little guy we had that was fearful to turn loose and start walking.  He "walked" on his knees from the patio outside to the entrance gate.  Ouch!

We also did a "fire drill" this morning with Lauralea's help.  It was a chance to go outside across the wet (from dew) lawn in their bare feet.

First picture: Svea, Avi, and Linnea were reading books and hanging out in the "cozy corner" area. This is the last area of the room where I need to finish the remodel.  (Some more paneling has been ordered!)  The kids like the new "dog bed"cushion I bought that fits there perfectly.  In the second picture Svea had these books all neatly stacked and then she was spreading them out like she was sorting them.  Last picture: This is one of Svea's favorite places to hang out.  That dress helped her scoot right down that slide pretty quickly.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
