Svea - 5/6/2019

Svea ate half of her kix cereal and ate mixed fruit for breakfast.  She wouldn't have a bite of anything at lunch; Ground turkey, whole wheat hamburger bun, tomatoes, avocado, or cherries.  I think her medication had wore off before 11:00 and she was just crying, tired, and ready to take a nap.  Just a FYI, I did see her poking at her left ear a lot, but it could have been from just being tired.  Thought I'd mention it so we can keep an eye out for that too.  Something is bugging her and I hope it's her teeth like you said Molly.

Svea had long stretches of time this morning, especially first thing in the morning, where she played and acted close to normal.  I took this first picture when Avi and Linnea were pushing the chair with Atley and Svea riding.  Baby Callahan and Nora are not here today so it was just these four kids.  Four sounds like a lot of kids, except I've adjusted to having six, so it's been a pretty easy morning.  Haha!!  Not really easy, but more easily managed!!

All four of the kids were playing on the mattress and Atley and Svea bonked heads.  Atley was holding her head and Svea was howling.  Svea is a tough little critter, but not that tough!!  :)

Last picture: Avi is such a watchful and caring big sister!!  She's like a mother hen!!  Whatever she perceives that Svea needs, Avi does everything in her power to provide for that need.  She's always trying to hoist Svea UP onto something that Svea isn't quite big enough to accomplish on her own.  My general rule of thumb is "when they're able to get up, then they're able to get back down on their own."  So for example, I never help a kid get up on the igloo!  They'll be doing it soon enough all by themselves.  (Try explaining that to a 3 year old who'd like to see her little sister on the igloo!!  Haha!!) Svea can pretty much get on the couch by herself, but Avi still likes to provide assistance and Avi set up the blocks for Svea.
