Svea - 5/7/2019

Svea ate waffle and grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a couple bites of chicken, couple bites of whole wheat tortilla, ate corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples.

The 2nd time Svea saw Lauralea this morning she waved and said, "Hi!" at the same time!!  And she did the exact same thing at the window when waving bye to Momma Molly.  Waved one time and said, "Hi!"  :)  When Lauralea leaves for work all the kids give her loves and the four oldest, including Linnea, say, "Love you sign, love you sign" while doing the sign.  (Linnea holds her hand out, but can't do the sign yet.)  This morning Svea stretched out her arm and said, "si si si."  :)

I took this first picture shortly after Svea and Avi arrived and all four of these kids had jingle bells and were shaking them.  I like the second picture!  Svea was playing at these toy shelves and she was just taking a power nap!  Ha!  No, she's not sleeping, she's just relaxing for a few seconds.  Maybe she liked the coolness (or other feeling) of the boards on her face.  Following picture; sitting on the bottom of the slide reading a book and holding it upside-down of course.  At this age it doesn't matter; either way works for them!!

Nora didn't like Svea swatting at her.  So I told her; "when that happens just take Svea's hand and show her gentle touches while also saying, gentle touches."  So Nora goes back to where Svea was standing and starts doing just that.  "Gentle touches, gentle touches."  Then Svea started following Nora around the room wanting to do it again!!  Haha!

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
