Svea - 6/10/2019

Svea ate cheerios and a bite or two of banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of ground beef, bite of whole wheat pita bread, bites of avocado, bite of tomatoes, and ate strawberries.

I asked Svea, "Did you go to a wedding?"  Avi was in the preschool room, heard the question, and answered, "Yes she did."  But I continued, "Svea, did you eat wedding cake?"  From the other room the answer was immediate!  "No, she did not."  Ha!  And that's why there is no reason for Svea to learn to talk!!  Haha!!  Hey, when I put Svea down for her nap after lunch she said, "night night" and she waved bye to me.  That was the first time for both of those things.

These first two pictures are from Friday afternoon when Svea was playing in the saucer.  She couldn't hardly wait for Callahan to be done in the saucer so she could get it!!  And she stayed in it for 15 - 20 minutes!!  Second picture: Then she decided to try sitting on the top of the sit-n-spin.  And the bottom part moves - the part her feet are resting on.  So as you can imagine; I no sooner took this picture and she did a header off of it!!

I really like these next two pictures; It's a perfect illustration how they learn from observation.  Svea watched Nora love on Callahan and she did it the same way.  It was very short and sweet!!  Nice job of being gentle Svea!  And you're a good teacher of gentleness Nora!!  Following picture: Everyone waving bye to Lauralea.  She'd stopped by to pick something up and she rang the front door bell because the door was locked.  Atley said, "Why'd she push the button?"  Last picture: Sunglasses from Target for a dollar each!

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
