Svea - 6/19/2019
Svea ate two servings of French toast and ate strawberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate several bites of Shepherd's Pie with green beans, carrots, and potatoes. She had a bite of whole wheat tortillas, and ate cherries.
This first picture is from yesterday afternoon and Svea had not been awake from her nap for very long. She went right over and sat beside Callahan, almost on him to be exact, and then thought it was funny when he was reaching for her. She giggled and interacted with him for several minutes. Every day this week so far she's been finding Callahan's burp cloth on the floor and she'll bring it to me. Thank you Svea! I love the extra help!! Speaking of being a helper, She's also been helping picking up toys in the afternoon before we go outside. She doesn't put them on the shelf; she brings the toy and hands it to me and goes for another toy.
Next picture: For probably the last two or three weeks Svea has been starting to play with the dolls a lot more. She's probably played more with them already than Avi ever did! ha! She wraps them in doll blankets and packs them around. Sometimes she just leaves them laying on the floor and covers them and messes around with them. So she's doing what Nora and Linnea do. Atley and Avi? Well not so much! Ha! This morning before breakfast I told Svea I needed to use the rocking chair to help Callahan go to sleep. Svea immediately got out of the chair, got a doll and blanket, and was taking care of it like I'd been doing with Callahan. She was watching Atley come through the door when I took this picture.
Last picture: Svea and Linnea were stacking these big blocks and obviously getting them pretty high. It's not an easy task for two kids this age to work on the same tower together. These two usually do pretty well without yelling at each other. This morning I had to intervene a couple of times - when they were trying to put blocks on at the same time - as the concept of "turn taking" is still a bit beyond their comprehension!! :)
