Svea - 7/17/2019

Svea ate half of whole wheat toast and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she didn't try the pork roast, no whole wheat tortillas, ate half of potato/sweet potato, and ate fruit salad.

Here are a couple of pictures left over from yesterday afternoon.  At first glance it may not appear so, but Svea was actually doing Callahan's skull examination quite carefully.  :)  If you zoom in on the picture I think you'll agree.  And (check this out) in the ancient world this practice of "phrenology" was very "scientific!"  (humoring myself again!)  I especially like how Svea's cap is sitting on the back of her head!  Second picture: doing some sidewalk chalk.  I took this picture when she stopped at someone else's art to appear like she'd done it all!!  Ha!

Next picture: Svea is surrounded by three of the dolls after breakfast.  She was covering them with the doll blankets and being a great mommy!!  Last picture: Linnea is obviously back today and she and Svea played in close proximity to each other all morning.  I couldn't believe how long Svea tolerated Linnea "combing" her hair!!  Impressive!  It went on and on and Svea never did utter a sound of protest!!  And Linnea was very intent and persistent with combing as long as she could.  A couple times they'd stop and "discuss" something and then continue on!!  Probably talking hair styles!!  :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
