Svea - 7/2/2019

Svea ate waffle and grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate no chicken, no whole wheat tortillas, ate corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples.

Talking to no one in particular I said,"I'm gonna feed Callahan" as I was carrying his bottle across the room.  Svea went running to where he was laying on the floor and sat beside him.  Then she pointed at him - just to let me know she'd found him!!  Thank you Svea.

First picture: She's playing with two strawberries.  The same strawberries she played with for most of yesterday before we went outside.  It's funny how some kids will find something they like and play with it kind of exclusively for a period of time.  Maybe she likes the strawberries because they fit perfectly in her mouth!!  :)  She also has one of the red shapes to stay color coordinated!!

Next picture: I went around the corner to see why Svea was being so quiet and she was just playing in the comfy corner with books and food toys.  You can't really tell unless you zoom in, but she has some "bacon" in her left hand and about to grab another piece of "bacon" which is laying just ahead of her right hand.  :)  Last picture: Hanging out with Linnea!  Earlier they each had a firm grip on one of the yellow shape sorter buckets.  A regular tug-of-war!  Their noses were a couple inches apart and they were both screaming! Ha!  It was kind of funny except Callahan was about two feet away and it frightened him and then he joined in with the screaming!  WOW!!  (Not that it mattered to them at that point, but there happened to be two more exact same yellow buckets laying close by!!)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
