Svea - 8/13/2019

Svea ate whole wheat English muffin and most of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of chicken with stir fry vegetables (with pineapple added - yum).  She also ate brown rice and no oranges.  It's kind of a quiet morning around here this week - and - next week will be short on numbers too.  Nora is gone the rest of the week, Avi is doing morning dance class all week, Atley is leaving Friday and gone next week, and Linnea is gone all next week.

This first picture is from yesterday afternoon and Linnea was trying to buckle the straps on the stroller.  Svea was trying to cooperate, but it was a difficult task!  :)  Not sure how adjusting the strap way down there is going to help keep Svea in the stroller.  Haha.

Next picture: Lauralea was testing Linnea and Svea for their upcoming developmental assessments.  I can say with confidence that Svea's receptive language is doing just fine.  It was fun to watch her respond to Lauralea's instructions.  Atley was concerned because she wasn't part of this assessment.  She said, "Hey, you forgot about me."  :)  Following picture: Svea playing with one of her babies.

Last picture: Svea has obviously been watching the "older" girls go off the yellow pieces backwards. The moment she got into position it was obvious what her intentions were.  And she was so excited and nervous about it!!  She kept looking at me and giggling.  (Zoom in on her face.)  And she finally just did it!  She's so fearless!  Hey, she did something on the blue balance beam earlier that totally impressed me!  She was standing up, dinking around, and began losing her balance.  In the middle of falling she managed to launch herself sideways to the mattress for a soft landing.  It all happened in s split second.  That was very cool and I loved how she reacted!!  A+
