Svea - 8/21/2019

Svea ate two servings of French toast and ate strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate "whole 30" chili with meat, peppers, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, and tomato sauce.  (And lots of good spices!!)  The kids are really liking this meal and it's one of Lauralea and my favorites!!  I was feeding it to Svea and as soon as she swallowed a bite she'd lean forward with her mouth open ready for the next bite!!  She also ate tropical fruit and no whole wheat dinner roll.

Svea had a good morning and played steady and was engaged most of the time.  Although I do think she misses having Linnea or someone to hang out with when the older ones do Preschool activities.  She moaned and whined a couple of times when they left her and went out to the preschool room and she's never done that before. Most of the time she and Linnea are so busy they don't notice or care.

Here are some pictures from Svea's morning.  She was playing with the flashlight and the first thing they do is head for the igloo where it's darker.  I wonder if she knows that's why they go in there?! Ha!  She just follows along behind them.  Middle picture; She was laying on the pillows in the cozy corner and she's started grinning all over when she saw me taking a picture.  Last picture; She was amusing herself by kicking on the wall with her feet - well technically I guess she was kicking the changing table.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
