Svea - 8/22/2019
Svea ate waffle and two servings of fruit salad for breakfast. For lunch she ate shepherd's pie with meat, potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, and green beans. She ate a large serving of cherries and no whole wheat tortillas. During Lunch the kids were watching the digital picture frame and when a picture of Linnea came on someone said, "Linnea." Svea started grinning, got excited, and was saying "Naaa-uh, Naaa-uh!!"
This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon as we were preparing to go outside. We clean up the Daycare room and put toys away before we go out. Svea's job was to put all the stuffed animals back onto the mattress. And she did all of them with no help. Nice work Svea! It's fun to set them up for success so they can be proud when they accomplish a task!
Next picture: Look at her posture and expression of concentration! What are you guessing!?! I'm thinking I may have to change a diaper in the very near future!! Yep! Sure enough! :)
We talked about Svea beginning to use words and maybe I was more tuned in to listening for that, but I heard several words this morning! That's how it always works!! Lauralea called me "Gar Gar" (rhymes with "hair hair") and Svea totally mimicked that! Made us laugh! Instead of Callahan I kept calling him "Cal" and she said, "Cal." She wanted a flashlight like Nora and Avi. She said both syllables, "flash light." Lauralea and I just looked at each other. :) Last picture: Playing close to "Cal." :)
