Svea - 9/30/2019

Svea ate kix cereal and bites of mixed fruit for breakfast.  Right before Lunch Svea was pointing at the shelf saying something.  I'm sorry Honey; I don't get what you're saying!  Avi helped me out; "She's saying Jammies!!"  You are totally right Avilene.  Svea was getting tired and ready to eat and go to bed!! Put on my stinking jammies!!   For lunch she ate ground turkey (mixed with her avocado), bite of whole wheat hamburger bun, half of tomatoes and ate cherries. First picture: Well Svea and Linnea started off the day right where they left off on Friday.  Slinging all the blocks off the shelves.  Haha!  Look at Linnea in the picture; it looks like the stack of 6 blocks is getting the best of her!!  Atley joined the little ones as she likes having some chaos too! Next picture: I thought it was cute how these two little cuties were standing on blocks so they could peek over the top of the changing table.  Following picture: ...

Svea ate several bites of brown rice and several bites of raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate maybe half of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, and tomatoes.  She had a bite of apricots and no whole wheat dinner roll. Svea was playing beside Callahan and started whimpering saying, "hair hair hair" while looking at me.  Pretty easy to figure that one out!!  Callahan has earned a "hair puller" reputation!   Yesterday Linnea was whining about something.  I asked, "What's wrong Linnea?"  She pointed at Baby Callahan and said, "He try to eat my hair.  I don't like that!"  :) First picture; Atley reading to the two little ones this morning.  Second picture; Svea and Linnea were playing a combination of "chase" and "follow the leader" around the block structure. Avilene was kind of mauling Svea on the mattress and I asked her what she was trying to do.  "I'm trying to get Svea to do a some...

Svea ate French toast and a nibble of dried plum for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pulled pork, no whole wheat toast, ate peas, and cantaloupe.  That was a pretty big lunch.  Linnea was still eating in her highchair at breakfast and Svea was done and reading a book.  Linnea could hear Svea (couldn't see her) and asked, "What you need Svea?  What you need?"  SO cute!  She was ready to help her friend. Here are some pictures from Svea's morning.  I've talked about this a lot lately - which typically means they're doing it every day - and Linnea and Svea love pulling every block off the shelves.  Then in the third picture their work was done and they were visiting the library.  :)  Svea has been "reading/singing" more lately as she looks at books.  Shortly after I took this picture Svea was reading loudly and Linnea had to stop and take a look at Svea's book.  Svea was making it sound very interesting!! This last ...

Svea had bites of whole wheat toast and two serving of mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef with marinara sauce, no whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate riced cauliflower (she wouldn't try it alone so I mixed it with the meat and sauce and she liked that), and ate fruit salad. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and I liked how she was laying on her tummy to do some sidewalk chalk.  But I like her ponytails more!!  This morning when I was changing her and putting on her pajamas for lunch and then nap, she was asking for me to fix her hair again.  So cute.  "hair hair hair."  I will after nap time cutie!! You'll see the pictures in Avi's Blog, but the kids were creating the biggest disaster with the blocks that they could!  So we built a sidewalk (Svea loves this activity) and Svea played on it; then she put on the rabbit ears for extra kicks.  :) Last two pictures; Linnea had been playing in the swivel...

Svea ate a couple bites of toasted & buttered whole wheat bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of her shrimp, ate brown rice, bites of stir fry vegetables, and ate half of her raspberries. You'll see in Avi's Journal for today that Avi was busy in the preschool room.  However, during one of her "breaks" she was jumping off the climber and wanting Svea to do likewise!!  I couldn't hear what Atley said to Svea, but Avilene said, "No! She can ONLY copy her big Sister!!  That made me laugh. Here are some pictures from Svea's morning!  She and Linnea were refueling at the water fountain. :) Whenever they hear one of the big kids talking about a drink, they need one too!!  (Notice Callahan trying to "escape" through the gate!)  Following picture: Svea was playing near Callahan and when Atley made a loud noise the both whipped around like; "Hey! What's that!?!" More pictures: Svea was play...

Svea ate several bites of bran cereal and a few raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she nibbled on a piece of chicken, no whole wheat pita bread, ate avocado, half of olives, and half of pears. Svea was jumping off a couple of the big building blocks and landing on both feet perfectly.  It wasn't a big jump, but I was still impressed with how good she was landing.  Super good practice for her!  She did it over and over for at least 15 times.  Maybe my cheering helped her keep jumping!!  :) We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend so as always the kids were busy on "Toy Exchange Monday!"  In the first picture she is obviously playing with one of the dolls, but she kept saying, "baby, baby, baby, baby" over and over.  She has been saying lots of words recently and more words every day!! I took this next picture when Svea got her book and climbed onto the couch to sit and enjoy it.  If you look close you'll see the book is upsi...

Svea ate a half serving of cream of wheat cereal and ate most of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she may have had a bite or two of baked beef kabobs with meat, peppers, pineapple, and zucchini.  She ate brown rice and half of her pineapple on the side. First picture: Linnea and Svea were sitting on the couch with lots of books and both were reading aloud; and they were really into it!!  Look at Svea's expression!  I love that!  She's got lots of expression going on; not to mention lots of volume from both of them!!  Haha!  Nice job Girls! Atley, Svea, and Linnea had the blocks scattered all around, but Linnea and Svea were actually trying to construct something!!  So I asked Atley to help them build a sidewalk and this is what they came up with.  Nice work!!  They started jumping off the blocs which is obviously not a huge jump, but Svea managed to lunge forward and bang her head on the carpeted step toward the Preschool Room...

Svea ate waffle and fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate shepherd's pie with meat, potatoes, green beans, sweet potatoes, and carrots.  She ate no whole wheat tortillas and ate a large serving of cherries. We've been working with Svea to say "help me" when she needs something; instead of just screaming.  And she's been doing real well with that!!  Several times this morning she was saying, "help, help, help" and that was awesome!!  Good work Svea. Here are some pictures from Svea's morning.  She and Linnea had quite the pile of food toys in front of them.  Notice the bottom shelf is totally empty and there is a lot of those toys.  :)  Second picture: Linnea and Svea were at the window doing the "window clings" again.  And they were pretty proud of themselves I might add!! These last two pictures are so cute and Svea was having fun playing and interacting with Callahan.  (I'm making that judgment by listening to al...

Svea ate French toast and strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate Whole 30 Chili with meat, tomatoes, peppers, tomato sauce, and sweet potatoes.  Svea and Avilene both love the whole 30 chili!!  (Smart kids!)  She also ate tropical fruit and no dinner roll. First picture:  I was messing around with some of the food toys - cheese and lunch meats primarily have the right texture, haha - and they work perfect for window clings.  :)  Then of course the kids think ALL the food toys should stick to the window.  Svea is slapping up a hamburger bun.  :)  In the second picture Svea was playing with the jingle bells again and using them like bracelets. Next picture; These two were playing with the building blocks again and they've been doing that very regular lately.  Linnea even said what she was building; "I'm building a castle Gar Gar."  :)  She always calls me "Gar Gar" and I think it's so cute. Speaking of cu...

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pork chop, no whole wheat toast, bites of beets, and bites of applesauce. First picture: Lauralea was leaving for work and she was making an observation and comment about Svea strategically laying out the blankets for the dolls.  I took the picutre when Lauralea was giving Svea "Five."  :) Next picture; Just like every other day Linnea and Svea are very busy little girls.  They've got things to do and things to take care of!!  They were working hard to dig all the food toys out of the "kitchen cabinets."  And the cute part about this - they were taking turns crawling into the shelf to clear out every last piece. Next picture: Svea really likes the blocks and plays with them basically every day!!  More than any other child.  She had moved lots of blocks to the other sided of the room.  I've been closely watching her stack these and she k...

Svea ate whole wheat Chex cereal and most of her peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bite of ground beef, no whole wheat hamburger bun, bites of tomatoes, and bites of oranges. Callahan was playing beside Linnea and Svea and he got a handful of Linnea's hair.  She was not thrilled and I was snuggling her.  Svea was patting him on the head and saying, "hair hair hair,  hair hair hair."  :) Svea had a fun, busy, and happy morning!  In the first picture she had several food toys - lettuce, hamburger patty, bun, and carrot - and was initially trying to get them to slide down the car ramps.  That wasn't working so she just kept playing with the food toys and using the ramp like a table. I"m not sure exactly what Svea and Linnea were doing in the next picture, but they were having fun whatever it was!  If you look close that's a "ketchup" bottle hanging out of Svea's mouth and she was using both hands to kind of lift on Linnea's dres...

Svea ate most of her breakfast: oatmeal and dried cranberries.  For lunch she ate bites of everything: Tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, green beans, and applesauce. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon right after these two girls got up from their nap. I just think it's so cute!  Svea sucking her thumb and Linnea sucking her binky.  They just stood there looking at each other and acting pretty dozy!!  Svea had been examining Linnea's shirt too.  And today Svea is wearing the same shirt.  :) Next picture: Sister Avi was helping Svea find all the jingle bells and Svea was using them for bracelets on both arms again.  At least I can hear her coming.  :)  Following picture;  Svea puts on the work boots every day and today she finished off the look with a hard hat.  :)  She got up on the blue balance beam and stumbled off onto the mattress while I was laughing at her. Last picture:  We played ...

Svea had bites of whole wheat bagel and ate two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger and sausage pizza with peppers, tomato sauce, pineapple, and olives.  We cook it separate from the whole wheat pizza crust - she ate no crust - and she ate pineapple on the side. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when the kids were playing with chalk on the patio.  After I took the picture Svea and Linnea went into the play house on the patio and came out shortly thereafter.  Linnea announced to anyone interested; "Hey!!  I'm back!!" Next picture: Here are the two cute little goofballs laying on the floor playing with some jingle bells.  In the following picture Svea is wearing two boots - two different boots, but no one cares.  :)  Most importantly she got them on by herself. Last picture: Lauralea was doing some testing on the kids - primarily Svea and Linnea - and during this section she was asking...
