Svea - 10/10/2019

Svea ate no whole wheat bagel and ate two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger and sausage pizza, with the meat, peppers, pineapple, olives, and tomato sauce.  No whole wheat pizza crust (we serve it separately), and bites of pineapple on the side.

First two pictures are from yesterday afternoon right after nap time.  (Svea is still wearing her jammies.)  These two were looking at the book and I said something about the book being upside-down and Linnea started laughing.  So cute.  Second picture; What is Svea watching? :)  Avi of course!  Avi was wearing some sunglasses with her lion suit.  (Picture on Avi's Blog!)

Next picture: This was shortly after Svea arrived.  (She's still wearing her cap.)  These two packed all the blocks to this side of the room and started piling them in the corner.  It was a LOT of work and they stayed on task until it was done.  Right after I took this picture Svea took off her hat, pointed at the entrance room and said, "cubby cubby cubby."  Ok, I'll put your hat in your cubby.  Then at breakfast I caught a couple strands of her hair in the bib and she said, "hair hair hair!!"  She's doing a great job of using her words and I love it!!

Last picture:  Svea was filling the sink with animals.  (At the top of the picture you can see the far sink and Linnea has it full of animals.)  Then a little animal thief showed up and started stealing Svea's animals.  :)  The camera caught you with your hand in the bucket Callahan.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
