Svea - 10/17/2019

Svea had bites of waffle and ate a large serving of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of baked beef kabobs with meat, zucchini, pineapple, and peppers.  She ate brown rice and bites of pineapple on the side.

We have this "no singing" rule at meal times.  It primarily started because Atley LOVES to entertain (mostly herself - haha) and Nora was usually the target audience.  Anyhow, I too frequently forget and start singing and the kids all chant, "No Singing!!  No Singing!!"  Yesterday afternoon outside on the patio I was singing and Svea said, "no singing."  That made me laugh.  She said it again this morning at breakfast.  I wasn't singing.  So I guess she was just reminding me.  :)

First picture from yesterday afternoon.  Avi and Atley asked to do some sidewalk chalk and then they got distracted doing something else.  Svea ended up the only one to play with the chalk.  She played with it for several minutes.

Here are some pictures from this morning's activities.  Linnea is not here today or tomorrow and Svea played lots with Avi and Atley.  Avi made sure Svea was included in everything they did!  They were burying Avi on the couch and Svea was reaching to touch her.  Following picture: Svea preparing to cover Atley with the doll blanket.  Or at least cover a small piece of her!  Last picture: Avi was asking Svea; "Do you want a piggyback ride!?  Do you want a piggyback ride!?!"  Yup, I think she does!

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
