Svea - 10/18/2019

Svea ate cream of wheat cereal and licked a dried plum for breakfast.  For lunch she ate all her Shepherd's Pie with meat, potatoes, green beans, and carrots.  She had no whole wheat tortillas, and ate cherries.

Svea was sitting in the cozy corner reading books like she does every day!  She was saying, "ack ack ack....ack ack ack."  Earlier we'd been reading/singing, "Miss Mary Mack Mack Mack, all dressed in black black black, with silver buttons buttons buttons, all down her back back back."  Singing is such an awesome way for them to learn language.

First picture; Svea played with the legos with Avi and Atley and then continued to build with them after the older girls were done.  Second picture;  Svea wanted to color with the older girls.  As you can see by the picture she's not real picky about where she colors; paper or her face!  :)

I love this last picture.  I just finished putting a clean diaper on Svea and put on her jammies for nap time (after lunch) and Atley asked Svea, "Do you want to snuggle me?"  Earlier this morning Atley randomly said, "Svea, I love you." (In a very sweet voice.)   Both of these times were SO sweet.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
