Svea - 1/28/2020

Svea ate waffles and grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, no whole wheat tortillas, ate two servings of corn, and ate apple slices.  We ran out of time and didn't get to the baked cinnamon apples, so we had apple slices instead.  They nailed that immediately; "Hey! Why are we having it like this?"  They totally know what goes with every meal!!  Haha!!

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when the older kids were wearing masks.  Cal studied and studied them.  "Who and what are you!??!"  He was totally fine with it until Avi decided to do her wolf growl and I told her to chill out!!  He never cried, but he didn't like it either!! Avi is wearing the "Big Bad Wolf" mask and Svea has on a "Bear" mask from the "Three Little Bears" story.

Next picture: Svea was in the cozy corner and had a big handful of food toys and was sampling each one in her mouth.  I'd rather she didn't put the toys in her mouth of course, but I'm not choosing that battle with Svea for a long time.  :)  Following picture; She was temporarily done with the food toys - she just set them beside her - and started reading books.  My favorite part of the picture is the upside-down book!!  :)

Next picture: Another way to use the food toys!!  These slices of cheese and bologna stick to the window rather nicely!!  Ha!  Last picture: I just thought it was cute that Supergirl wore her hard hat before bailing off the igloo.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
