Svea - 1/9/2020

Svea ate bites of toasted whole wheat bagel and three servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger and sausage pizza with meat, peppers, olives, pineapple, and tomato sauce.  She ate most of whole wheat pizza crust (we cut it up and serve it on the side), and more pineapple.

This first picture was left over from yesterday afternoon.  A friend had posted a picture of her cat chasing it's tail on Facebook.  The cat was sitting on a pedestal (a fairly small surface) several feet in the air and going around and around.  I was impressed that it didn't tumble off!  I knew the kids would like watching that and they were really laughing.

Next picture: Callahan puts these dress-up hats on by himself, but Svea was pretty sure he needed her assistance!!  :)  After all she is a professional; notice how she has the bunny ears mounted on her head!!  Haha!!  Pointing straight out!!

Last picture:  Svea and Linnea sat together in this legos drawer for maybe 20 - 30 minutes this morning and emptied it entirely out!!  It holds a LOT of legos!!  So before Lunch we decided it needed picked up before we left the room.  Svea helped put lots of them back in the drawer too.  Yesterday she was clearing the top of the legos table of all the legos when it was Story Time and she was NOT about to quit until ALL the legos were off the table.  :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
