Svea - 2/18/2020

Svea had no whole wheat bagel and ate two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate shrimp, no whole wheat toast, half of stir fry vegetables, and ate two servings of raspberries. I burned the brown rice so we substituted toast for lunch.  Atley said, "I don't like that smell!!"  It was pretty rank, I agree!  :)

First picture: The four girls; Avi, Atley, Linnea, and Svea barricaded themselves in the igloo.  Or maybe it was built to keep Callahan out!  He really didn't want to be in the igloo anyhow!!  He was way more fixated on attaining one of the flashlights they had.  And that is what he was reaching for around the blocks when I took this picture.  Haha.  And he managed to snatch one right after this picture!!  Score! Good job Cal!!

Next picture: Svea's cute little mullet is getting pretty long isn't it!?!  I took this picture shortly after she arrived.  Checking out some books. If you zoom in you'll see the book is upside-down, but who cares?!?  Definitely not Svea.  Following picture: She has taken several legos pieces to the cozy corner to build and work on there.

Last picture:  I thought it was cute how Svea, Linnea, and Cal were lined up in front of the toy shelves.  That's actually a pretty efficient place to set up camp!  Right in front of the goodies!!  Linnea and Svea were clearing all the food toys off the shelf when I took the picture.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
