Svea - 3/23/2020

Svea and Avilene arrived after 10:00 so for lunch Svea ate half of turkey burger, most of whole wheat hamburger bun, ate avocado, and two servings of cherries.  (The Blog may be shorter because of late arrival.  I only take notes until lunch time.)

We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and of course Svea was also gone last week so everything is pretty new and she was busy.  She's always busy, but this morning was a bit extra.   I like the first picture; She was playing with the toaster and I caught a slice of bread on the right and a pancake on the left in mid-air.  :)  She loved the picture when I showed it to her.

Callahan was the first kid Svea asked me about thing morning; "Where's Cal today?"  It was so good to see the Nelson girls this morning; been missing them!!  Svea had a fun busy morning and was reading books like usual as you see in the next picture.  In the last picture; she was doing the shape sorter.  On the bottom right you can see an egg that happened to be in the shape bucket.  She tried to put it in the "triangle" hole, gave up on that, and tossed it over her shoulder!!  Haha!! Dang! Thankfully no one was behind her.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
