Svea - 4/16/2020

Svea ate three servings of French toast and ended up eating almost all of her dried plums for breakfast.  (Earlier, she had a bite of plum and said, "I don't like plums.  Yup, whatever.  Ha.)  For lunch she ate shrimp, bites of brown rice, bites of stir fry vegetables, and ate raspberries.

Here's my conversation with Svea.  "Hey Svea, do you have a sister?"  "Yes."  "What's her name?"  "Avi."  "What is your other sister's name?"  "Uhhh...Avi."  "Do you have a brother?"  "Yes."  "What's his name?"  "Uhhh....Callahan."  Haha.

First picture; I put the baby monitor there so I can watch it during breakfast.  Then I forgot about it being so accessible.  Until I heard Svea saying, "I'm just looking at it Gary.  I'm just looking at it."  Haha.  And she wasn't touching it.  :)

Svea did all the work building with the blocks that you see in this next picture.  She kept asking me. "What am I building Gary, what am I building?!?!"  :)  Next picture; She then asked if I'd help her build a sidewalk so we did and then She, Atley, and Nora were "sleeping" on it.  Kids sleeping on the sidewalk.  Hmmm...that can't be right!!  I may have to reevaluate my curriculum!!  :)
 

Last picture:  I was working on Blog pictures on the couch and Svea was playing on the igloo.  (Or as you can see it's actually a "dogloo."  Ha.)  She was pointing at one of the "O's" and said, "A for you Gary."  Haha.  Well there is not an "A" there, but my letter does happen to be there.  So I showed her the "G" for Gary.  10 minuets later I asked about "Gary's letter" and she pointed right at the "G."  :)  You're right Momma, she is a Baby Genius.  :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute. Next picture: Svea was at the gate yelling to Avi and Atley (who were in the Preschool Room) and she was saying, "Look at me guys, look at me guys."  Then she started walking across the room...
