Svea - 4/2/2020

Svea ate most of blueberry bagel and two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger & sausage pizza with the meat, peppers, pineapple, tomato sauce, and olives.  She had no whole wheat pizza crust (which we serve separately), and had several bites of pineapple on the side.

The pictures in this Blog are basically going to cover yesterday afternoon.  April 1st is Nora's birthday and considering the pandemic we decided to have an impromptu birthday party.  (And by "we" I basically mean Lauralea!!)  We did 4 different games and one activity (making play-doh) and it used up at least 2 hours of the afternoon.  THANK YOU LAURALEA!!  Considering we have a back room full of supplies it wasn't a stretch for this to happen!  It was lots of fun and a great substitute for a missed party!!

First picture: It was fun to listen to Avilene as she was giving Svea a lesson in learning her colors.  Avi started by asking, "What's this color?"  Svea didn't know or would make a wild guess.  So Avi changed her teaching tactics!!  She'd ask, "Is this black?"  Is this brown?"  Svea quickly learned that the answer was always "yes!!"  So cute!!  :)  I've mentioned this before, but Avilene loves to teach; not just sister, but the other kids as well.  College Professor someday!?!  :)

Next picture: Lauralea did not know that 30 minutes prior to this when I told the kids we were gonna have a birthday party Nora had asked, "Are we gonna have balloons?!?"  I had no idea; so this was awesome.  Following picture: This was a game where each side had a silk cloth and was attaching little things to it; such as small clothes pins.  Last picture: I talked about making play-doh in Avilene's Blog so I'll not repeat it here, but this picture was taken after we were done and the kids were playing with it using some new toys I'd purchased last fall.
