Svea - 4/23/2020

Svea ate half of whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, most of peas, and two servings of applesauce.  Again today at lunch she was saying, "Will you feed me Gary, will you feed me?"  Hey, it was a question instead of demand.  :)  Of course in her 2 year old brain it probably means the same thing!!  Haha.  I was busy and offered her a bite while I was standing up.  She said, "Please get chair Gary, please get chair."  So cute.

Speaking of cute, check out this little cutie.  This is left over from yesterday afternoon when she wanted to wear this dress.  She said, "Gary, I want this on.  I want this on."

Next picture: Have you seen any purse pictures this week!?!  Svea is obsessed with the purses and has played with them a LOT since "new toy Monday!"  It's a bit hard to count them all, but she has 7 purses in this picture.  :)  She takes them to the same spot and piles them on the floor every day and circles around them for a minute and then makes her move.  haha.  I really have no idea what she's playing.   Does she play with purses at home?

Last picture; Again, we're looking at a VERY familiar scene, but I'm impressed every day how long she'll sit and read books!!  Especially the "first" reading of the day; that's always the longest stretch of time!  20 minutes is a very conservative estimate and it's probably more like 30 minutes.  It's always right after breakfast.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
