Svea - 4/29/2020

Svea ate half of whole wheat toast and ate two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of chicken - the menu called for pork roast, but I was late getting it ready - no whole wheat tortillas, ate half of carrots, and ate a large serving of fruit salad.

This first picture is from yesterday afternoon when the kids were all chasing bubbles.  Svea usually just watches and then steps on whatever bubbles she finds on the ground.  They were having so much fun with the first bubble chase of the season!!  Look at Avi's face.  "I'm gonna catch me a bubble!"

Next picture - Svea was "hiding" from me behind the changing table.  I just held the phone over the edge, she still couldn't' see me, and took the picture.  I love this picture.  Look at that happy face; having some good fun!!

Next picture: Svea had the purses as usual and was adjusting this one when I took the picture.  Her play focus is so much different that what Avi's was at that same age.  So interesting.  Last picture; Lauralea has become quite attached to Svea during this "work at home" phase.  Svea of course loves the attention and loves Lauralea as well.  Here's what I was thinking this morning; When Lauralea did this full time she worked hard not to show partiality to any one child.  I don't think she works so hard at that anymore!  Ha!

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
