Svea - 6/11/2020

Svea had two servings of French toast and a bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of pulled pork, no whole wheat toast, most of peas, and ate a large serving of watermelon.  During lunch Svea started yelling, "I sat up guys, I sat up!!"  Huh?  Again; "I sat up guys, I sat up!!"  I quickly realized she was looking at a picture on the digital frame as it scrolled by and she's heard me say that many times.  It's a picture of Svea on a blanket in the entry room and it was the first time she "sat up" at Gary's Place!!  It's a Super cute picture!!

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and I'd just blown up this big ball and the kids were loving it.  The ball has a hole in it somewhere so it's probably done for, but it lasted one season!  This is kind of cool picture in "live mode" with Svea running behind the ball and you can see from Avi's hair that she's moving too.

Speaking of cool things, this next picture is very cool.  Eric delivered Linnea to Little Treasures on his bicycle from the North Side.  Good work Daddy Eric.  Linnea's brother Anders was along for the ride too.  This is a very amazing bike; zoom in on it and see how it's set up for little passengers!!

Next picture; Look what Linnea is doing to her ponytail; stretching it straight forward.  And look at Svea's expression.  So funny.  Silly kids.  I love the last picture.  This is classic Miles; Svea and Linnea playing and being rowdy on the chair and even though he's partially under the chair he just keeps looking at his book.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
