Svea - 6/24/2020

Svea ate whole wheat toast and ate grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of pork roast, no whole wheat tortillas, bites of carrots, and ate a large serving of fruit salad.  When Svea was coming out for breakfast she was modeling her dress so cute.  She said, "Look at me Gary."  Yes you love your dresses don't you?  Then in her high chair she and Callahan were "chirping" back and forth and I said, "You goofy suckers!!"  Svea said, "I am not a sucker!"  :)  Ok, you're just goofy!!  :)

These first two pictures are left over from yesterday afternoon.  Once again Svea is practicing her newly acquired pedaling skills.  And she's doing great with it.  She rides both size bikes I have.  In the second picture she was doing chalk on the concrete.  She's actually the one who asked to do sidewalk chalk.

Next picture; When Svea arrived she asked Nora; "Is this a bridge Nor Nor?"  That was interesting because that's exactly what Nora had asked me to build earlier.  "Gary, will you build us a bridge?"  Last picture: Svea was on the edge of the couch and kind of rolled off.  She didn't get hurt and it looked funny and I had laughed.  So she immediately got back on the couch and intentionally rolled off.  Haha.  See you are a goofy sucker!!  It didn't really look like a pleasant experience and I noticed she didn't do it again!!

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
