Svea - 6/29/2020

Svea ate half of whole grain Chex cereal and ate two servings of pears for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, no whole wheat hamburger bun, bite of tomatoes, ate avocado, and ate mandarin oranges.

Today is Toy exchange Monday and it was a very busy morning!!  The energy level was high all morning; which always adds to the volume as well.  And actually that's a great sound here, because I know everyone is busy, happy, and engaged in activities.  In the first picture Miles had crawled over to see what Svea was doing and Svea never yells at him.  (Because he doesn't aggressively go after her toys.)  Second picture; Playing with the food toys.  Those are the first things Svea played with this morning.

Next picture: Svea and Nora were building with the fence pieces and they'd turned them into ladders. They were excited and both were saying, "Hey Gary, look at our ladders.  Look at our ladders."  I like how Svea is peeking through the rungs of her ladder.

Last two pictures;  Cal had been watching Nora and Atley squat on the spinner toys and making them spin by using their butt.  So this is what his attempt at doing it looked like.  Gets off center and over he goes.  He's all boy.  :)  Speaking of all boy, check out the last picture.  Playing dolls with Svea.  Haha.  He's hanging on to a baby and decides to just cover his own head.  This is much easier!

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
