Svea - 6/5/2020

Svea drank her milk, but was not interested in any other breakfast.  She was hungry by lunch time and she ate a large serving of whole 30 chili with meat, peppers, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and tomato sauce.  She had no whole wheat dinner roll and ate a large serving of tropical fruit.

First two pictures are from yesterday afternoon.  The kids spotted a bug high on the wall and they were all yelling "spider spider!!"  So I took care of the spider, but it was actually a small beetle.  Second picture: Svea and Avi were the last ones here and so I let them play with the big bubble wand. (I only have 2 of them so I'm always the one waving the bubble wand around!)  Svea was SO excited!!  She was dancing around and said, "I'm SO happy!!  I'm SO happy!!"  Haha.  Cutie.  Look closely at this picture and it looks like Lauralea is grabbing a bubble!  :)

Next two pictures; Nora was making a "bridge" and the kids were crawling under the bridge.  They play this game frequently, but today Svea wanted to be the bridge.  It was pretty funny - look at Nora's body position for the bridge and then at Svea's body position.  It made Svea uncomfortable to stretch out like that so we moved the igloo closer.  :)  And Atley can barely squeeze through!

Last picture: Pretending to take a nap.  Svea saw me taking pictures and was giggling.  The "nap" didn't last  long because Atley was soon accidentally bopping Svea in the head with her feet.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
