Svea - 8/3/2020

Svea ate whole grain Chex cereal and ate peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of ground beef, no whole wheat hamburger bun, no tomatoes, ate most of avocado, and ate mandarin oranges.  

I'd mentioned earlier about blogger.com changing some formatting and changing it's site in various ways.  So far it's not been too painful, but I see the pictures are larger at this end.  Are they larger at your end?First picture:  Well we did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and this is how Atley and Svea decided to proceed!!  Pile all the toys around Svea!!  What are you doing?  Atley said, "Svea likes it that way!!  Second picture:  Svea and Atley again!!  Atley was reading books and Svea moved right in so Atley could read to her.  :)

Here are two pictures from outside this morning.  We will play outside in the mornings on the days it appears heading to be hot in the afternoon.  The Nelson girls brought their parachute with them and the kids were having fun with it.  Cal was hanging onto a handle until they started whipping it up and down and he wasn't sure what that was all about!!  Svea, on the other side, had two handles and was working hard to do her part.  Last picture - The four kids were playing on the airplane/teeter-totter.  Avi the pilot, Atley on a wing, Svea on the other wing, and Cal in the cheap seats. Ha.  Atley is laughing because she's making Svea come off her seat.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
