Svea - 9/30/2020

Svea and Avilene arrived about 9:30 and Avi said they had cereal for breakfast.  For lunch Svea ate a large serving of Whole 30 Chili with meat, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, tomato sauce, peppers, and spices.  She ate bites of whole wheat dinner roll and ate a large serving of tropical fruit.   

This first picture is a bit different than the one I posted on Avi's Blog, but it too is left over from yesterday afternoon when we ventured out on a very short "field trip." Ha.  Across the street and three houses down on Rainbow Drive they have their yard full of halloween decorations.  Everyone listened very well - "either that or we're heading back immediately" -  but we didn't stay long because the little boys naturally wanted to get out of the wagons when we stopped.  

Here's an example of something that frequently happens with this age group.  Svea started yelling, "GARY! GARY! GARY!!"  What?  "Cal's trying to get my toys!!"  So I'm ready to use this as a "teaching moment" when Svea says, "Gary! I'm sharing toys with Cal!!" Ok, whatever.  :)

Here are some pictures from Svea's morning.  First picture: Precision is very important when wrapping her baby.  Svea laid this blanket out about six times trying to get it just right!  Second picture: Nora was talking about something and the subject was "cupcakes."  Nora asked Svea if she "remembered when she went to get cupcakes."  Last picture;  Svea said, "Hey Gary! I have three stinking deer on the couch."  I shouldn't be so proud, but I have to instill a tiny bit of "Sanders County" in my Daycare!!  Haha.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
