Svea - 10/01/2020

Svea ate half of waffle and three servings of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat tortillas, one bite of sweet potatoes, and ate cherries.   

Yesterday outside they found a spider and Svea said, "Gary!! Gary!! It's a spider!! It's a daddy-leg spider!! It's a daddy-spider!!"  LOL!!   Avilene said, "It's a daddy long-leg spider."

These first two pictures are left over from yesterday.  We were outside and I put Svea's shoes on her and she said, "Hey Gary!!  Look at my wrong shoe!!"  LOL!!  It was so funny because I was doing three or four things (like usual) at the same time and hadn't even noticed!!  However, just an FYI for you; she LOVED this shoe because when she stomped her foot it would light up!!  So there you go for her next shoes!!  Second picture:  She asked if she could play at the Sand Table and usually others or all of them join in.  However this time it was just her and that was fine with Svea.

Next picture:  Here's what Nora and Svea like to do; find a cozy spot, snuggle up and suck their thumbs.  I've showed you several pictures of them doing that; especially in the igloo, but here you can actually see them!!  :)

Last two pictures go together:  Svea likes to "stock-pile" the toys and then guard them.  If she was an older adult we'd say she's a "hoarder." (And a greedy hoarder!!)  Basically the same thing.  Haha.  Miles was pretty relentless going for the stuffed animals and she was trying to hold him off.  So he just circled around and under the blue balance beam and "bingo" nobody on guard duty!!  LOL!!  Good work Miles.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
