Svea - 10/13/2020

Svea ate half of her waffle and half of her grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, no whole wheat tortillas, ate corn, and no baked cinnamon apples.    

These first three pictures are left over from yesterday afternoon.  First picture:  Nora, Cal, and Svea were looking for bugs and said they spotted a "bee."  Notice how Nora is positioned - and that was as close as she wanted to get.  Second picture:  This was SO cute.  Nora and Svea were running back and forth across the yard and up and down the sidewalk.  They weren't running the same direction, but like you see in the picture they'd occasionally meet each other.  Zoom in on Svea's face.  She has a huge grin!  It was so much fun to watch them running and running.  

Next picture:  If you look closely across the street you can see the back end of a boat and the motor.  The neighbor was winterizing his boat.  When I took the picture he was running the motor - a loud idling two-cycle engine - but he never throttled it above an idle.  Callahan was totally enthralled.  Svea, on the other hand, was telling him how loud it is and it's time to run!!  Haha.  

Last picture:  This is very typical Svea here!  She found the phones and she likes to find ALL of them and put them in a pile.  (Believe me, she's not the first child I've had who does this!!)  I was proud of her because she didn't scream at Cal when he approached and reached for a phone.  She was content to let him play with one as long as he didn't just grab it and run.  You can see his hands moving closer to the stack of phones.  :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute. Next picture: Svea was at the gate yelling to Avi and Atley (who were in the Preschool Room) and she was saying, "Look at me guys, look at me guys."  Then she started walking across the room...
