Svea - 10/15/2020

Svea ate a small piece of whole wheat English muffin and ate two servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate salmon, no whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and ate applesauce.  

Svea was in a compliant mood this morning!!  Shortly after arrival she dropped a toy and I heard her say, "We have to be gentle with Gary's toys."  Yes, she's heard that a few times.  Good job Svea.  Later she said, "Gary is the boss."  And she's heard that a few (actually many) times as well.  My favorite thing she said this morning was when she was doing Art at the table she said, "People listen to Gary's words."  LOL. Well at least the kids do.  Only because I'm here 10 hours a day and I make sure they listen.  And I occasionally give them choices!!  But they are choices I can live with.  :)  

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  This is very much typical Svea.  She loves to pile up her toys and she has this bowl carefully and skillfully FULL!!  Good work Svea.  

First thing this morning Svea asked, "Hey Gary, can I have a ponytail?"  Wow, it's been a long while since she asked for a ponytail.  You bet!!  I'd love to put a ponytail in your hair.  And she even agreed to 2 of them.  What a cutie.  

Last picture:  Well I've mentioned in the Blogs once or twice, but especially to the parents how these two stinkers like to push each other's buttons!!  So I need to balance that out by saying they really do like (maybe love - haha) each other and frequently play together.  It's probably 50/50 as to which one starts antagonizing the other one!!  They were playing with the trucks together in the picture.  Probably within 30 seconds of taking this picture Svea grabbed a truck out of Cal's hands.  Sigh....Haha!

For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute. Next picture: Svea was at the gate yelling to Avi and Atley (who were in the Preschool Room) and she was saying, "Look at me guys, look at me guys."  Then she started walking across the room...
