Svea - 11/05/2020

Svea ate two servings of French toast and ate half of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of a large serving of whole wheat spaghetti noodles.  She ate cauliflower and fruit salad.   

First two pictures are left over from yesterday afternoon: This was right after nap and Svea had asked to snuggle.  Avi was my assistant and holding up a mirror in front of Svea's face and I was saying, "monkey, monkey, monkey."  And of course that was hilarious.  :)  Second picture;  Cal and Svea were playing on the teeter-totter and Svea was singing, "Teeter totter bread and water, wash your hands in dirty water."  (Where'd she learn that!?!  Haha.)  Then at the end she was combining it with "Ring around the Rosy."  "And we all fall down."  And they'd fall off.  Over and over.  Laughing and giggling.  

This next picture was taken first thing this morning.  Svea asked if she could color and draw and do stickers.  Atley and Avi were also doing stickers and putting the peeled-off part in front of Svea.  And Svea was dutifully taking it to the garbage.  (You can see the little garbage can behind Svea.)  Svea said, "Atley and Avi are giving me all their garbage.  They're nice."  LOL.

Last picture:  Well it's Thursday morning and that means "Science with Lauralea."  :)  She did 3 different experiments with water.  This was actually not one of them, but an afterthought when the string was wet she was using.  A WET piece of string for everyone and they could immediately pick up an ice cube as it froze to the ice cube.  :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
