Svea - 11/11/2020

Svea ate French toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of hearty paleo stew with meat, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, tomatoes, green beans, and sweet potatoes.  She ate saltines and half of tropical fruit.  At the breakfast table I asked the kids, like I do just about every day,
"What did you do last night?"  If I don't get an answer especially from the little ones I'll frequently say silly things like "Did you chase squirrels?"  This morning Svea thought about it for 20 seconds and then she said, with a big grin on her face, "Catch squirrels."  Haha.  Good one Svea!!

First picture: Callahan joining Svea in using the combs.  Svea has much more practice staring at the mirror and she knows you're supposed to look in the mirror when you comb.  Haha.

I was cleaning up the breakfast table and Svea was at the gate saying, "Hey Gary, hey Gary, hey Gary."  Yes Svea?  She was quiet for a moment and said, "I love you."  That's their go-to phrase when they can't think of anything else to say, but it's still sweet.  I love you too Svea.  In the next picture she's asking, "Will you snuggle me?"  So I was saying it back to her; "Will you snuggle me?"  Following picture: Yes, I'd love to snuggle you Svea.

Last picture:  Lauralea has Veteran's Day off so she did "Science with Lauralea" today instead of tomorrow. They did some experiments with straws and this one also included food coloring with milk and watching the food coloring move around even though no one was touching the table.  In the picture they actually have 2 straws and the second straw is short.  With the second short straw, no matter how hard you suck you can't get the milk to your mouth.  As long as the second straw isn't in the liquid you're just sucking air.
