Svea - 12/30/2020

Svea ate whole wheat toast and two servings of mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of ground beef with marinara sauce on whole wheat spaghetti noodles, two servings of cauliflower, and two servings of fruit salad.  

Monday and Tuesday Nora and Svea gave each other a kiss goodbye.  Yesterday Nora said, "Yuck !!  Her slobbers on my lips!!"  So we'll see if Nora remembers that when she's leaving today!!  Haha.

These first two pictures are from yesterday afternoon.  We played outside for 45 minutes and that was enough of the cold for one day.  Svea was going down the "ice covered" slide and that made for a quick ride.  :)  Second picture; Avi and Svea were the only ones here when we went back inside and I allowed them to bring a couple of toys from home inside to play with and with the Daycare lights turned off it produced a good show.  Plus, Svea had fun with a flashlight.  

Next picture: Svea happened to see Lauralea brushing her hair and said, "Your hair is the longest!!"  Yesterday the kids were talking about whose hair was the longest and shortest.  So Lauralea came out and sat on the balance beam so Svea could get a closer look at it.  Svea was grinning and touching her own hair just like you see in the picture.  

Last two pictures;  Nora and Svea playing and running together on the mattress.  They had to pull their pants/leggings up to their knees before they could run!  Ha.  Last picture;  One of their favorite things to do! They sat just like you see in the picture for at least 15 - 20 minutes studying their reflections in the mirror.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute. Next picture: Svea was at the gate yelling to Avi and Atley (who were in the Preschool Room) and she was saying, "Look at me guys, look at me guys."  Then she started walking across the room...
