Svea - 12/31/2020

Svea ate French toast and ate dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of pulled pork, no whole wheat toast, ate peas, and ate strawberries/mangoes.  Lauralea was being silly at Lunch and pretending to cry; she's actually pretty good at it.  They were all laughing, Avi was laughing REALLY hard, and Svea must have liked it because she asked, "Can you cry again!?!"  Haha.  Also at Lunch Atley told Svea; "I'm sorry I can't go to your Birthday Svea."

Hey Molly, I showed Nora the picture what Avi is getting Svea for her Birthday.  Oh man, Nora was impressed!!  Her face looked like a light bulb and her voice was literally quivering!!  "Oooohhhhh."  Hahaha.

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when the kids were playing in a "fort" we built using one of our outside blankets.  All the girls are in there and Miles was in and out.  Second picture: Miles was trying hard to stick his finger in Svea's mouth and she was super inclined to just let him!! Ha! Those are a couple of cuties right there!!

As everyone knows by now, it's Thursday and that means one thing!!  "Science with Lauralea!!"  I told Svea that there is no thumb sucking at the Preschool table.  After Science time (which took a majority of the morning) the kids were in the Daycare Room and Nora said, "NOW can I suck my thumb!?!"  Ha! Today's theme was "Water."  And we did lots of activities and experiments with water; at least 6.  Here are a couple examples;  We did lots of "Predicting" and letting them guess and you'll see a picture of the chart in Avi's Blog.  First picture;  Will oil sink or float?  Second picture:  Aluminum foil and pennies.  The foil floated, the pennies sank.  So we made a "boat" with the aluminum foil and guessed how many pennies it would take to "sink the boat."  40 Pennies!!  The kids LOVE these experiments and activities and I love their responses during this time.  Look at their focus in these pictures!
