Svea - 01/27/2021

Svea ate French toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, ate brown rice, bite of broccoli, and ate pineapple.    

The kids were all heading in to get ready for breakfast and Svea said, "Gary!!  I just saw Miles walking!!" Yes! I'm glad you noticed!!  Haha!  That always just cracks me up!!  I've heard this exact statement SO MANY TIMES over the years of Child Care.  Just like today, it can be weeks and even months and a child will act like it's the first time they've actually seen a younger one walking.  And maybe it is the first time they've "really" seen it!!

First picture:  Svea was so so so PROUD of her leotard she was wearing when she arrived this morning.  Nora and Cal seemed to be impressed too.  :)  She was showing off the sparkles on the front of it when I took the picture.  Second picture: This was not long after she'd arrived too and she'd asked me to snuggle her.  She was busy acting silly so I had to get a selfie!!  Third picture:  Froggy Suit again and admiring herself in the mirror.  It probably felt comfy warm after the chilly leotard!!  Haha. 

Next two pictures: Svea and Nora were working on building their "cave" as they call it.  Well actually Svea was doing most of the work here; Nora was laying out instructions for where Svea needed to lay the pillows and blankets!!  You can see most of the finished project in the last picture.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
