Svea - 01/28/2021

Svea ate whole wheat waffle and three servings of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat tortillas, no sweet potato, and ate cherries.  

Warning # 1: If a farting story is too crude then skip this paragraph!  Warning # 2!  You'll miss a good story if you skip this!!  Yesterday afternoon Atley did a very loud and boisterous toot!  Svea said, "Awww...Ewww...that was Gary!"  Avi said, "No, that was Atley!" Svea said, "Trust me!  That was Gary!!"  LOL!!  (I certainly hope Atley took that as a compliment!)

First two pictures are from yesterday afternoon when Nora was able to acquire a new skill; so Svea joined her and did real well too!!  Good job girls.  I'm certainly glad to see Svea using those leotards for their intended purpose!!  Haha!  Third picture;  Svea was asking me to put this frog suit on her and I told her I knew she could do it.  (Which she has been doing all week.)  Svea said, "No, I'm just too tired."  Haha. She did all of it herself.  Again.  Good work Svea.



I had to run two errands this morning and I took this next picture of Lauralea reading about the "Weather" when I returned.  Last picture:  "Science with Lauralea."  You'll probably read some repeats in Avi's Blog, but I first want to mention that last week I wrote we were going to be doing some "Cooking" this week. However, we talked about it and didn't want to risk someone getting burned and it can happen so quickly. I frequently have to help the two boys with something and then Lauralea is left alone.  SO, the Theme today is "Weather."  And we're gonna do a whole series of "weather" coming up in "Science with Lauralea."  Last picture:  Making "Cloud Dough."  Similar to Play Dough.  Haha.  Svea's came out with the perfect texture.  No guarantees how long it will stay soft or how long it will last.  (This is not the same recipe we use for Little Treasures play dough.)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
