Svea - 02/08/2021

Svea ate kix cereal and bites of fruit cocktail for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, half of toasted whole wheat sandwich thin, ate tomato, avocado, and no banana.

This first picture is left over from Friday afternoon. Svea said, "Hey Gary! Miles is trying to open the gate for me!  Haha! Yup, you may be standing there for a long time before that happens, but it was SO cute. She was thrilled he was making the attempt just for her!! :)  Svea can't open it yet and one of the three big girls opens it for her.  

Next picture: We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and of course the kids were busy as usual. Svea was very insistent that this Elmo "talks." She said, "Gary, can you help me push the button?" Sorry, but there is no button. :) Following picture: Three girls in the picture "napping." You can see Svea's striped shirt, Atley's hair, and Nora's hair on the couch. I had to be quick with the camera because Atley wasn't in that position for very long!!

Next picture; Atley is serving  "tea" and breakfast to Svea and Nora. I love how Svea is sipping her tea. Last picture: New markers - some that are for stamping instead of just drawing - fancy scissors that make interesting cuts, different tape for Valentine's Day, and some paints. I just did an online class this weekend about all the benefits of "child led art" for this age group. Super interesting class.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
