Svea - 02/12/2021

Svea ate some brown rice and one raisin for breakfast.  For lunch she ate salmon, whole wheat dinner roll, riced cauliflower, and two servings of mangoes.   

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon. Svea asked to have the play dough and Nora joined her. Those two stayed busy with it for probably 40 minutes. I liked how Svea was pushing her knife back and forth through the dough like you see in the picture. She is such a little experimenter. See the three hearts she made? When I flattened out her play dough the second time she wanted those left there. She said, "I just love these hearts."  :)

Next picture: After cleaning up from breakfast this is where I found Nora and Svea. The heat vent is under that yellow bench. Ha. It has an arched top that points the flow to the center of the room, but I keep the yellow bench covering it so kids don't stand on it. Anyhow these two know where the choice seats in the house are located on a cold winter morning! :)

Next picture: Svea playing at the Doll Houses again this morning. She's frequently been singing while she plays there and I love hearing that. Last picture; Making some more Valentine's cards. Look where Svea has set up to work on her Art. Very close to Nora. Ha. She'll sometimes do that before a meal and I'll scoot her chair back over to give both of them more room. Nora is usually fine with it; this morning she said, "I asked Svea to move over and she didn't!!"

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute. Next picture: Svea was at the gate yelling to Avi and Atley (who were in the Preschool Room) and she was saying, "Look at me guys, look at me guys."  Then she started walking across the room...
