Svea - 03/05/2021

Svea ate oatmeal and no baked cinnamon apples for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of hamburger stew with meat, tomatoes, green beans, and carrots. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and bites of fruit cocktail.  

The kids had been asking to watch the Robot Vacuum again so we cleaned up yesterday and they watched and played for probably 10 minutes. Everyone except for Callahan got down and dinked around pretending to let it "get them." Cal sat there mesmerized the entire time. He loves vacuums in general, but the Robot Vacuum is pretty special. :)  The second picture is also from yesterday. How do you like Svea's outfit!?! Ha. The hardhat, vest, and boots are special, but the bear mask adds a special touch too. And she has one pant leg pulled up to her knee for an extra fashion expression. 

Next picture: How cute is this? I like their expressions!! "Nope, we're not doing anything we shouldn't be!!" Haha. Here's what was actually happening here; Nora and Svea were playing on the mattress for the longest time. (See the second picture here.) They were laughing, giggling, wrestling, and generally being rowdy and silly. Then Nora made a "bed" for Svea and covered her with a blanket and that's when Miles arrived. Svea was not happy with Miles intruding on their fun. Ha. 

Last picture: Lauralea assisting Svea with one of the experiments at Science time. The Theme was "making stuff disappear" and in this experiment the bleach turned the colored water back to clear. :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
